Hideout Policies

As a guest of our Hideout you have access to our main facilities. Relax in our indoor pool, spa and sauna. Try our game room - it's fun !! Hiking and mountainbiking trails. Kids ATV and mountainbikes for RENT. Horse corral to board your horses. Horseback riding for the whole family.

Ruidoso is the area for golf enthusiasts with over 5 golf courses like The Links at Sierra Blanca. A premier public course, The Links is in the Scottish links style. Winter brings ski and snowboard enthousiasts to our mountains.

Take advantage of Wireless Internet to keep in touch with family and friends.

Business Center Services are chargeable, based on the type of service requested.

Reservations - Reservations are held upon visa/master/discover/AMEX card. Deposit due is 50% of the amount of the entire stay. The balance is due upon arrival, check or cash only.

Cancellation Fee -

Cancellation 15 days or longer prior to arrival day:
Cancellation fee during non-holidays : $ 50 per unit.
Cancellation fee during holidays : 50% of full amount of your stay per unit.

Cancellation 14 days or less prior to arrival day, on arrival day or during your stay:
Cancellation fee during non-holidays : $ 50 per unit. No matter which day of your stay you cancel.
Cancellation fee during holidays : full amount of your stay per unit.

Unit = cabin, RV site or tent site.

Any concerns or questions in regard to the reservation and cancellation policies have to be addressed at the time of reservation.

No refunds will be given
We reserve the right to either evict without refund or refuse service to anyone whose behavior is unlawful, socially offensive or menacing to others, or who disregards our rules. Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout and its owners/managers are not responsible for personal losses due to fire, theft or accidents in the Hideout confines.

Check-in and Check-out - Check-in is from 3 pm till 6 pm. Check out is 8 am till 11 am. Early and late arrival or check-out by prior arrangement. A fee might be applicable.

Unauthorized late check-out will lead to extra day charge, no exception.

Visitors - Please feel free to invite visitors to your cabin or RV site. Visitors need to register at the Lodge. A fee of $5 per visitor per day will be charged.

Cabin, RV and Tent Site Policy - Please enjoy your stay. A cleaning fee of $50 will be charged in case our cabin guests leave us the dishes or leave the cabin in disarray or excessive dirty, or our RV and tent guests leave us the clean up of their site.

Fire Arms and Fireworks - Please refrain from bringing loaded fire arms on the Resort property. Fireworks are not permitted at any time in the Resort.

Hunting - We welcome hunters. Alto Hombre Gordito is located in the Sierra Blanca mountains with beautiful views overlooking the Capitan mountains. Our Hideout is adjoining the National Forest and is located on foraging trails of deer and elk. It is the ideal place for hunting. We do not have the facilities to store or process meat and are unable to allow shot animals on our Hideout. Professional meat processors near Alto Hombre Gordito can be reached directly from the National Forest.

Pets / non-pets - Pets are welcome. Please note we can not allow breeds that could be aggressive against other pets or humans, like pitbulls. Pets must be leashed at all times. If there are problems or complaints, we will work with you to correct the situation. Common areas are designated non-pet areas. It is not allowed to wash pets in the sink or bathtub of the cabins or pool area. Pet owners must accompany their pets at all times. Pets are not allowed to stay in the cabin without their owner. Any damage caused by our guests' pets is the full responsibility of our guests and will be charged to their account. We have a scoop after your pet policy.Your are requested to bring a pet blanket to protect the furniture in the cabins and your comfort. We do not allow pets on the bed or sofa/sleeper. A cleaning fee of $50 will be charged if pet hair is found on the cabin's furniture. Fee per pet per night for Bell, Lefty, Pancho or The Outpost $ 10, per smaller cabin $ 5, per RV site $ 3.

Smoking / non-smoking - Common areas are designated non-smoking areas.

Responsibilities & Damages - Use of the Hideout properties and its facilities is at guest's own risk. Damages will be charged.

It is prohibited to cut trees or do damage to the property and property nature in any sense. We love our forest area and would like to keep it the way it is for everyone to enjoy.

Fireplace or firering - All cabins have a fireplace. All RV sites have a firering. Use of fireplace is $15 per stay. Use of firering is $15 per night. Wood is available.
