Horseback Riding Trrails:
1. Trail rides at Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout
Great for beginners. Trails for 1 hour horseback riding through the mountains and forest of The Hideout.
2. From Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout into the Lincoln National Forest
Great for moderate and experienced riders. Trails from The Hideout into the Forest.
1 hour trail: Takes you out in the Forest along beautiful mountain slopes - not difficult.
1 hour trail: Takes you into the Forest and on a high mesa overlooking the Capitan Mountains.
3. A few miles drive with horse trailer to Fort Stanton
Great for moderate and experienced riders. BML land with horse trails near Fort Stanton, Lincoln NM. Takes at least 4 hours.

4. A few miles drive with horse trailer to Monjeau Peak
Forest Trail #25 The Crest Trail. Looks like a mountain setting from Austria. Endless views. Will keep you busy for a whole day.
If you bring your own horses maps and explanation of the trails will be provided by The Hideout. Maps against a fee. Horse boarding $10 per horse. Bring your own hay. Water available.
