Overseeing a cabin and RV campground operation is everybody's dream. Lots of outdoors activities, great summer days filled with golfing and fishing, marvelous winter seasons with lots of snow and skiing.....what else is there to wish for. Of course, happy customers. Than there are the not-so-happy customers who find there way to express their dismay at sites like Trip Advisor or through Google Map. They have all the right to express their opinion. Here is a great one from Brad:"Don't go to Alto Hombre Gordtio. They have dogs." Yes Brad, we have 2 loveable dogs. We do not hide that. You will find pictures on our web site showing our 2 dogs, 7 cats and 6 horses. By the way, our horses are here for you to enjoy a horseback ride in the mountains of Ruidoso.
Another one:"During winter the roads are icy." Yes mam, we are in the mountains and we get lots of snow during winter time. We explain that on our web site. We do send you an e mail with the weather conditions the day before you are on your way to Ruidoso. We want to be sure you have snow chains in case of a snow storm. We love to take care of you.

The Hideout offers Wii (pronounced "we"), Gamebox and PS2 systems in the Game Room.

Ruidoso New Mexico climate is very pleasant with 360 days a year of sunshine and blue skies.
At 7,300 feet, The Mountain Resort summer daytime highs only in the 80s even at the height of summer. Low humidity around 25% allows overnight temperatures to drop to comfortable sleeping conditions. July through September brings on the annual monsoon, with increased humidity moderating both high and low temperatures. Wintertime brings comfortable 50s and 60s during daytime and cools off to 30s and 40s during nighttime. Ski season starts with Thanksgiving and continues through Easter. Ski or snowboard in the morning and play golf in the afternoon!!

We are going to FLY!
American Eagle, a subsidiary of American Airlines, is flying between Roswell NM, 70 miles east of Ruidoso NM, and Dallas. Flights are year round and take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Each flight is able to carry up to 50 passengers. Aircraft used is the Embraer Regional Jet 145.
