Alto Hombre Gordito is a unique Hideout in the Ruidoso area for a relaxing escape to beautiful mountain wilderness surroundings. We have cabins, full hook up RV sites and tent sites.
Indoor Fun Pool, Sauna, Spa and warm showers are ready for year round splashing fun. You can conveniently use the shower facilities to change. A fireplace and TV add to the holiday atmosphere.

Alto Hombre Gordito is in a typical wilderness, mountain area, located near the mountain slopes of Sierra Blanca, adjoining the Lincoln National Forest, 1.1 million acres of natural beauty.

Nearby are extensive opportunities for horse back riding, hiking, mountain biking, jeep and ATV trails, fishing, golf etc. Several water park and snow tubing attraction parks dot New Mexico. And the best of all, Alto Hombre Gordito is the nearest accommodation to Ski Apache with the lowest rates and the highest comfort.
Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout is only 10 scenic minutes from one of the finest and most scenic ski areas in the country, featuring a 1700' vertical drop, the state's largest hourly ski lift capacity and the only gondola in New Mexico !
We do have a horse corral. You can bring your horses. You need to bring your own horse feed.
Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout now features basketball, volleyball and horse shoe courts. There is a playground for the little ones.
